What is Sea Moss?

Sea moss, scientifically known as Chondrus crispus, is a type of algae or seaweed. It grows in waters along the rocky Atlantic coasts, primarily between North America and Europe

It’s an edible sea plant similar to other seaweeds, algae, and other familiar leafy sea vegetables like kelp or dulse.

Sea moss grows in a number of colors, such as various shades of green, yellow, purple, red, brown, and black.

The most common varieties that grow in the warmer waters are generally red and often called Irish moss

How do I store my Sea Moss?
Sea Moss Gel should always be stored in a refrigerator. Warm temperature of the sea moss decreases its benefits. Temperatures between 34-38 degrees F slow bacterial growth. Will last up to 3-4 weeks refrigerated and frozen up to up to 6 months.
How long does Sea Moss last before spoiling?
Most Sea Moss Gel has an average life span of about 3 to 4 weeks when refrigerated. You should always inspect all your food products before consumption. Sea Moss has been known to vary in spoilage and is not intended to be stored but rather to be consumed. We always advise to consume generously.
How do I use my Sea Moss Gel?

Sea moss is naturally rich in minerals, protein, and iodine. Adding 1 - 2 tablespoons of sea moss gel to your daily smoothies, drinks, or other foods, over time, will help reduce mucus and inflammation throughout your body.

Why not make it a mask! if you decide to use sea moss gel, please be sure to set aside a small portion of it to apply as a face mask a couple times a week. It is FULL of all the minerals your skin craves. It is a natural collagen and will help plump the skin and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is rich in sodium and will help tighten/smooth the skin as well.

Can I take Sea Moss if pregnant?
Sea Moss is great for an expecting mother. Babies require a majority of the Vitamins, Nutrients & Minerals an expecting mother consumes. By adding Sea moss to your diet you will maximize the amount of Vitamins, Nutrients and Minerals being consumed so that mom is not left feeling drained after the unborn child has had its full share of the food benefits. It is an amazing additional to the family regiment.
Can I give Sea Moss to an infant?

Sea Moss is safe & suggested for infants & children. Sea Moss Gel can double as a baby food option. 

Can I take Sea Moss while on Iodine medication?
(Common Thyroid issues) It is not recommended that you take Sea Moss while taking Iodine medication. PLEASE CONSULT A PHYSICIAN in this case. Normally what we find is that Sea moss replaces the daily need for Iodine medication. Again, please consult your doctor & feel free to reach out to us directly for further discussion.
How do I know if my Sea Moss spoiled?
Signs of spoilage include odd pungent aroma & light grayish watery/slimy coating on top layer & mold. If you find mold or suspect spoilage please reach out immediately.
How much Sea Moss can I consume?

As much as you would like. We recommend at least 1 tablespoons per day. The more the better but remember to drink at least 1 gallon of water per day.

Can I take Sea Moss if I am allergic to shell fish, sea animals or bottom feeders?
Absolutely! Sea Moss is a Vegan product that simply grows off the shores in the Sea.
